Pupils from St Fergus Primary School were treated to a memorable afternoon at Oor Wullie The Musical this week, courtesy of Xplore Dundee, who generously provided free transport to and from the Dundee Rep Theatre.
The much-loved production, running from Saturday 23 November to Monday 30 December, brings the iconic Scottish comic strip character to life and has been delighting audiences of all ages. For the pupils, the trip was a special opportunity to experience the magic of live theatre together as a class.
David Bald, Head Teacher at St Fergus Primary School, expressed his gratitude:
“The excitement from our pupils was just incredible. For many, this was their first experience of live theatre, and Oor Wullie The Musical was the perfect introduction. The energy, music, and humour captivated the children from start to finish. We are so grateful to Xplore Dundee for their generosity in providing free transport, making this memorable trip possible.”
Stephen Riggans, Area Director for Xplore Dundee, said:
“At Xplore Dundee, we’re committed to supporting our local community, and we were delighted to help St Fergus Primary School get to the Dundee Rep Theatre. Seeing the joy on the pupils’ faces as they experienced this fantastic show makes it all worthwhile. We’re proud to play our part in connecting young people to opportunities for arts and culture in Dundee.”
