FLY has announced additional capacity for 5,000 passenger journeys between Dundee and Edinburgh Airport during September and October to meet busy autumn holiday demand.
The airport coach service, operated by Xplore Dundee, will put extra coaches onto its existing timetable, providing more seats on scheduled departures throughout the two months.
The move will support holidaymakers travelling to and from Edinburgh Airport during the popular autumn getaway period, including families heading overseas during the October school holidays.
FLY operates a direct, non-stop service between Dundee’s Union Street and Edinburgh Airport, with departures throughout the day and night. Customers can view the timetable and find booking information on the FLY website.
Stephen Riggans, Area Director at Xplore Dundee, said:
“September and October are busy months for holiday travel, and we want to ensure that getting to and from the airport is a straightforward part of our customers’ plans.
“By putting extra coaches onto our existing FLY timetable, we are providing capacity for another 5,000 passenger journeys, helping more people travel with us during this busy period.
“For families heading away during the school holidays, couples enjoying an autumn break or passengers returning home, FLY offers a convenient connection between Dundee and Edinburgh Airport, without the need to drive or arrange airport parking.
“We look forward to welcoming customers on board and helping them get their holidays off to a great start.”
