Do you know what made Dundee’s jute industry unique? Working women outnumbered men in the mills three-to-one – which is why today Dundee has such a fondness for the wonderful women who came to characterise the city. The Dundee Women’s Trail commemorates twenty-five pioneers, suffragettes, inventors and social reformers with informative blue plaques in and around the City Centre. They’re the pride of Dundee – follow the trail to take a walk in their shoes.
