Magdalen Green is Dundee's oldest park, having been in use for more than 400 years as a recreational space. Its rolling green grassy slopes are a lovely setting for relaxation; perfect for sunbathing, some reading or an outdoor music session at the iconic Victorian bandstand. If you're keen on transport, it's the ideal place for some train-spotting (with a view of the junction between the railway bridge and the line to Glasgow) or some plane-spotting (as you can see them landing and taking off from Dundee Airport).
Get there by bus: take services 5/5a | 17 to Balgay Road or service 22 to Blackness Road. Go solo with a DaySaver or travel together with a GroupSaver. Remember: under-22s travel free with a valid NEC card.
