3rd May

Dundee Dance Event was originally launched back in 1998 to showcase DJing talent not getting the opportunity to shine in local bars and clubs. The event was a first for the city and, since then, has grown into the UK’s biggest multi-venue dance music event with an ethos of providing a platform for local, up-and-coming and resident DJ, artists and producers from all over Scotland and beyond.

Dundee Dance Event 2026. Sunday 3 May 2:30pm - 2:30am. The scene is being set for yet another dive head first into an all-day dance music extravaganza around some of Dundee’s coolest bars and clubs. This year's event has 30 venues this year including a few that are making their DDE debut and it’s great to have them on board. The Closing Party returns to Live House with an increased capacity of 3200 now additional work has taken place in the venue, and  the car park under Live House will host the DDE Rave Cave again.

From humble beginnings back in 1998 with 17 DJs playing in 9 venues, to relaunching in 2011 with 50 DJs and 10 venues, this year they have 33 venues taking part and over 200 DJs and artists performing. DJs from every Scottish city, and numerous towns in-between will once again be represented at this year’s event - it’s truly become a country-wide affair. The event is also an opportunity for the dance music community to come together once a year to celebrate the scene.
