The D’Arcy Thompson Zoology Museum is a treasure trove of natural history specimens from across the globe, many of them collected by the University of Dundee’s first professor of biology: D’Arcy Wentworth Thompson. The museum holds open afternoons on the second Saturday of every month, which the public are welcome to attend, free of charge.

Get there by bus: take services 5/5a | 17 to Perth Road or 622 to Hawkhill and go solo with a DaySaver or travel together with a GroupSaver. Remember: under-22s travel free with a valid NEC card.
