This vast green space is occupied by three parks in one. Chill out in the neatly tended gardens of Victoria Park or take a ball for a kick-about on the rolling green grass of Lochee Park, generously gifted to the city by the jute baron Cox Brothers. Round off your day out with a woodland stroll up and around Balgay Hill, stopping by Mills Observatory before taking in the treetop vistas of The Law, the city and the silvery Tay. Get your camera at the ready to snap a shot of Balgay Bridge, which crosses high above a picturesque crevasse in the rocky sides of the hill.
Get there by bus: take services 6 | 17 to Balgay Road or service 22 to Blackness Road. Go solo with a DaySaver or travel together with a GroupSaver. Remember: under-22s travel free with a valid NEC card.
