Coachbuilder

 

We are looking for a qualified Coachbuilder to join us at our Dundee depot, who can work on their own initiative and will enjoy being part of a friendly and dedicated team.  As a Coachbuilder your role will include maintaining the company’s vehicles to the highest standards.  You will be responsible for the refurbishment, and repair of our fleet, ensuring high-quality workmanship that exceeds industry standards and customer expectations.

As a Coachbuilder, you will play a crucial role in assembling various items using hand tools and power tools. Your mechanical knowledge will be essential in ensuring that our products meet quality standards.

So, what you will be doing:

  • Construct and assemble vehicle components, ensuring structural integrity and aesthetic quality.
  • Install interior and exterior vehicle fittings, such as seats, floors, and windows.
  • You will also be tasked with the removal and fitting of seats, panels, roof lining, door cards, interior trim, carpets, switch gear, light clusters and bumpers.
  • Inspect and test components and vehicles to guarantee safety and functionality.
  • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to implement modifications and improvements.

What do we need from you:

  • Proven work experience as a Coachbuilder or in a similar role within vehicle manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle design and construction principles.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools for vehicle construction.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
  • Commitment to quality and safety standards.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
