Monthly Direct Debit Update

EXPIRED PASS EXTENSION: UPDATED 26 APRIL
In the coming weeks, we'll be launching a new scheme for monthly direct debits.
As part of our recent change of ownership, we are moving away from the former National Express system to a new, local one set up with McGill's.
Existing account-holders will receive a letter explaining how it will work, and how to make sure you can stay signed up for unlimited travel at the same great price of just £44 per month. New customers will be welcomed soon too, once the sign-up form goes live.
We are also taking this opportunity to modernise the scheme by transferring passes onto smartcards. This is more reliable than the old-style paper passes which were delivered each month through the post, and had to be shown to the driver. Instead, you'll get a one-time top-up for the life of your smartcard, and it will be scanned on the ticket machine electronically.
Smartcards will also make your bus pass more secure than ever. It's insured against loss, theft or damage because it's registered to your account. Just get in touch with us, and we can provide you with a replacement. We'll also hotlist your old card (to make sure nobody else is using it).
If you have an old-style pass which is due to elapse soon (or has already done so), don't worry, because here's some good news: expired passes are still valid for travel until at least 31 May. (This applies only to yellow direct debit travel cards with expiry dates set during the months of March, April or May).
Keep an eye out for further updates on our website, on social media and in our Travel Centre. If you have any comments or questions, please get in touch by calling 07557 753057 or email [email protected]
